Incoming Students

Upon an Interinstitutional Agreement, the SSML Verbum receives students coming from partner Institutions. Welcome and support for incoming students We would like our incoming students to feel at home while studying at SSML Verbum. Therefore, we have developed a mentoring system, which is aimed at student-to-student help. Every incoming Erasmus student has his/her mentor to help him/her to adapt to the new life in Cagliari. A tutor will be designated to assess his/her progress. A practical support will be organised as to help students in the research of an initial accomodation. After leaving, the coordinator will be in touch with the student and the tutor and will examine the situation through reports sent by the students. At the end of the period, the student and the host organisation will write a final report of assessment.  Language help for incoming students

The official language of the SSML Verbum, which is used at an institutional, departmental and administrative level, is Italian. The subjects of the study plan are taught following three different language procedures: some of them are taught in Italian, others in a foreign language (English, French, Spanish, German, Russian), and others in two languages (a part of the course is in Italian and another in a foreign language).

If required by the Erasmus incoming students, the SSML Verbum organizes free courses of Italian language, aimed at supporting the integration of the foreign students.

Recognition of study and traineeship mobility activities

 Full academic recognition is given for the study period abroad, as well as for the possible traineeship, as stipulated in the Learning Agreement, according to the study curriculum of the student.

Those enterprises which are related with our study address can be chosen for a traineeship. Our Institution will help students to stipulate an agreement with them.

To facilitate academic recognition, the SSML Verbum adopted the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). On the one hand they provide a common scale for measuring the student workload, and on the other they allow a clear view of the achievements in a given subject area at the end of the academic career. Either the hours of the exams or the hours of the traineeship will be evaluated according to the ECTS scale and will be recognised in the student’s curriculum.
